Position Title: Academic Coach 6-12
Reports To: Principal
Primary Function:
Provides appropriate instruction in a safe and orderly environment conducive to learning; provides faculty leadership and support to administration for the school curriculum and instructional process.
Requirements:
Educational Level: Bachelors Degree.
Certification/Licensing: Valid GA Teacher's Certificate
Proficiency Skills: Written and oral communication skills, student management, supervisory and leadership skills. Ability to employ a variety of instructional strategies that connect the curriculum to the learners. Ability to deal with multiple tasks, computer competence, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Personal Skills: Pleasant personality, cooperative attitude, physical skills and stamina to perform essential duties.
Salary: Georgia/Local Certified Salary Schedule - 11 month, Responsibility Supplement

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT (Teacher Support Specialist)
27. Supports the vision/mission of the administration.
28. Assists in the development, evaluation, and revision of curriculum guides and courses of study.
29. Assists in system-wide coordination of record keeping procedures, cumulative records, the setting of grade and achievement standards, textbook adoption, material selection and usage.
30. Assists in the analysis instructional programs, methods and materials to ensure proper scope, sequence, and techniques for effective learning are being employed.
31. Follows up and supports administrative actions for improving personnel performance.
32. Shares with the principal problems of general administration of the school including status of instructional programs, teacher implementation, and student performance.
33. Assists in analyzing system-wide test data and preparing reports on the strengths and weaknesses of the instructional program. Assists teachers with understanding and utilizing test results.
34. Assists with planning and delivery of staff development to meet the needs of the instructional program.
35. Assists teachers in translating curriculum goals and objectives into meaningful learning experiences to meet the needs of all students assigned.
36. Assists in selecting appropriate material, suitable teaching strategies and instructional management techniques most effective for the students placed in the class.
37. Assists teachers and administrators with placement of new students.
38. Establishes and maintains a curriculum materials resource center.
39. Provides support to teachers in their classrooms through visitation, demonstration and problem solving.
40. Assists the textbook selection committee by involving all department/team members in the examination and evaluation of textbooks, teaching aids and materials.
41. Assists with orientation of beginning teachers.
42. Works with principals and teachers to effect a smooth transition between middle and high school.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
